Origin of TradeDirector:

TradeDirector is hand crafted over a few years and heavily field tested. I use it all the time. Its much more fun and refined, and more convenient than any other financial software or spreadsheets I've used in the past . If you notice a problem, please send screenshots or explanations to developer regarding poor visibility, performance or nagging problems. TradeDirector uses an internet quote provider, though highly reliable, anomalies may happen.., usually problems disappear on their own in a short time. I incorporated some network and quote service monitor and self repair provisions. It's fantastic once set up. Wouldn't make a trade without it any more, so much easier than any alternative.

App Philosophy:

The TradeDirector app is not perfect but I've tried to make it error tolerant and resilient,. TradeDirector will repair itself if a communication error occurs. If an error locked the app, a 'Settings' icon should be available to pop-up a screen and allow easy manual 'Reset" of the 'App' without any loss of data.

Yellow on the screen indicates a notable state has occurred; such as a 'Questionable' quote due to a Manual setting or a Mutual Fund who's quote wouldn't be current until after market close. Yellow is an ALERT, not an error. Yellow indications are fully described in the $Holdings screen.

The developer or any GeneralWidgets proxy cannot be held responsible for any market or margin losses incurred by relying on the integrity, changes, or failures of TradeDirector. Maximum effort is used to maintain the 'On-Phone User Database' to avoid the need to reinstall all user Data. Software improvements however may drive a manual re-install of User Data. TradeDirector doesn't guard against overdraw/margin loan, trades may result in a negative cash balance and may result in a broker charge, (tip: Target CASH of 1/2 the largest stock in the portfolio should keep cash balance above 0 e.g. if the most expensive stock in the portfolio is $100/share, target Remaining Cash to be at lease $50, be safe, make give it some wiggle room for market changes and make it 75%.). Asset Values change moment to moment, Trading Bid/Ask will differ from the quoted value of TradeDirector. You can always bump transactions + or - 1 or more to ensure Leftover Cash is as you wish.

Very rarely, the quote provider may be offline. Also, understand the quote provider obtains quotes from sources that may significantly differ from your broker. Please ensure all quotes are as expected before executing. Your broker's trading screens provide the latest actual buy/sell prices..

A word about ads:

This software provides a unique perspective, huge time and grey matter savings and lots of fun. I'd like to get a return on my investment of many hours. A bottom banner ad along with an occasional video ad will provide myself with some return and hopefully some enjoyment for you. The video ads are kind of cool... A timer appears in the upper left. Recharge your credits/time by viewing the full video ad. Long-press 'Refresh' and view the ad before expiration to recharge early, useful when you don't want to be interrupted for a while, like immediately before a series of trade executions... I hope you find the ads enjoyable, some seem pretty cool.
